Raccoon’s are common throughout North America from Canada to Panama. In residential areas they are found scavenging on household garbage. They seek shelter under decks, in roof voids, sheds, and tree lines.
The raccoon can live in a wide range of habitats, requiring only a source of water, food, and a protected area for denning in order to survive. The habitats best suited for it are hardwood swamps, floodplain forests, fresh and saltwater marshes, and both cultivated and abandoned farmland. It is also found in cities all over the country. Home range sizes of urban raccoons are only 3 to 40 hectares (7.5 to 100 acres) for females and 8 to 80 hectares (20 to 200 acres) for males. In small towns and suburbs, many raccoons sleep in a nearby forest after foraging in the settlement area. Fruit and insects in gardens and leftovers in municipal waste are easily available food sources. Furthermore, a large number of additional sleeping areas exist in these areas, such as hollows in old garden trees, cottages, garages, abandoned houses, and attics. The raccoon is also a strong swimmer, but only when forced to swim. It is known more for its climbing abilities. It is capable of making a variety of sounds, including whistling, shrieking, chattering, clicking its teeth, snarling and growling.

I was very happy with their service. Darcy was great
They were friendly and helpful (even dealing with a nervous nelly like me). I think there were about 15 e-mails over the 2 days trying to help me calm down about what was going on. They never got snarky or made me feel stupid for asking questions.
Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable
I found Peregrine staff, both office and field very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They make sure their work is completed properly and care to call you back to ensure that your problems are taken care properly.
